I am a history buff who has traveled extensively in Europe. I have been teaching and tutoring in the Social Sciences, Humanities, and ESL at the high school level for the last seven years. The state of New York has certified me to teach the Social Sciences and Humanities to students in grades 6-12, and I have a CELTA granted by Teaching House New York Cambridge University. As qualified as I am, I know that it takes more than certifications and experience to be an effective educator. It also takes passion and the ability to pass enthusiasm on to one's students, so I do my best to bring my love of teaching and the subject matter to every class and tutoring session.Outside of my certified teaching areas, I also work with students on Geography and several IB courses. Among these are IB History HL, IB Social and Cultural Anthropology HL, IB Social and Cultural Anthropology SL, IB World Religions SL, and IB World Religions SL.I love to read, listen to folk music, and explore cultural studies.
