Experience

My philosophy as a tutor is that we all learn by making mistakes. Making mistakes allows us to understand where we need to focus and correct our comprehension. I also believe practice and determination are essential. I work alongside students and allow them to make mistakes so that I can fill gaps in their learning. I also help students reduce anxiety about grades and exam scores. Students don't need to be perfect today. Instead they need to continue to make progress, learning from mistakes and rounding out their understanding. I enjoy helping students with math courses, history, and test preparation for the ACT, SAT, TACHS, ISEE, SSAT, and others. In my spare time, I enjoy animation, fantasy, and science fiction, and I enjoy consuming them through books, comic books, and movies.
